Introducing: The new SqBx user interface and improved security

SqBx Family, are you ready for a new look? If you haven’t watched our introductory video of the new UI, check it out here

This month, we are bringing you our new and modern Google Material Designed user interface (technical term, sorry). Over the next couple of weeks, your SqBx site will be moved with your data and custom settings to the greatest platform there ever was for a package tracking solution (heh heh).

Not satisfied with just having our 24 months of efforts just spent on a new design? Well, here’s a few more goodies for you!

Cool new features when receiving packages

You’ve always been able to group packages together under a license plate. But now, you can also custom named license plates to distinguish them from each other.

Carrier tracking algorithms have gotten more complex over the years often overlapping. To address this, SqBx will now prompt if a scan matches multiple carrier tracking number algorithms. This aids in the correct selection of carriers and services during the receiving process.

We’ve made changes to how SqBx handles duplicate barcode scans. Previously, when a duplicate barcode was scanned, SqBx would simply retrieve the data entered from the original scan of the barcode. SqBx assumed that since this data was previously scanned, your intention was to edit the record. A new setting in SqBx allows you to enable a warning that a duplicate barcode has been detected and let’s the user decide whether to edit the existing record or not.

Oh yeah, we’ve improved the process of using storage locations during the receiving process so that you can actually see the location name rather than a cryptic ID. Stunning, right?

Crazy good security

We’ve worked hard to make sure your data is protected. We followed GDPR and NIST guidelines to offer an application that focuses on security requirements to keep your data safe. We’ve invited third parties to conduct security, penetration, and vulnerability testing that has earned our application a security certification. We’ve documented and adopted rigorous security policies to keep your data safe including data security policies, employee security policies and cyber response plans.

Modern integration capabilities your developers will dig

We’ve updated how your organization can integrate with SqBx. Previously the two options to exchange data with SqBx were through file transfers or SOAP integration. We’ve modernized this approach by adding a REST API. REST is a much easier and preferred API when integrating from a developers perspective.

Mobile app package retrieval process added to the web app, geek out

People love the package retrieval process that’s available on our mobile app. You asked and we delivered. This process is now available on the web app. When adding retrieved packages from a workstation, you can scan a badge ID into the system to retrieve a list of packages available for a recipient. This displays the tracking number, date received, and the storage location. You will also have an option to print a ‘Pick List’ of where the packages are located.

Take an image of package dropoff, yep just like restaurant and grocery deliverers do

aka contactless delivery (applause)

Need to show where a package was dropped off? A new proof of delivery option let’s you take a picture of the dropoff instead of a signature (or even with a signature) when delivering a package. This feature can be used with your custom statuses (package disposition) or upon final delivery.

Can you tell we’re excited to bring this new update to you? Ready for more?
