Happy New Year, SqBx users! SqBx Tracking Software is pleased to announce our first release of 2017. This release offers some great enhancements and some major new features to SqBx. We continue to offer members regular software updates and enhancements for all your shipping and tracking needs.
What is New?
- Role based Receiving
- Your SqBx administrator can now set up and configure multiple receiving screens based on a user role. This is great news for organizations that have multiple areas that receive packages such as mail room, central receiving, lab, print center and more. Each area can create its own receive screen with the data they need to capture specific to their workflow ensuring a streamlined user experience for all of your receiving areas.
- Shipping
- Guess what SqBx users? You will now see a new tab at the top of your SqBx tracking site for shipping. SqBx Shipping users can now access their contracted shipping rates, create shipping labels, and ship from inside the main user interface.
- Shipping can be extended to your entire organization by offering a ship request form, which is filled out online on the SqBx employee portal. When the ship request is made, a pickup request notification is sent to your SqBx operators. Attach the ship request form to your package so that your SqBx operators can add tracking history from the pickup of the package through to the hand off to the carrier and beyond.
- All shipments are rate shopped to ensure the best rate by delivery time is recommended. However, the recommended rate can be overridden.
- If you’ve added routing to your SqBx system, ship requests are automatically placed on delivery routes so that operators know to pick up a package while out for delivery.
- The SqBx shipping system supports one off shipments as well as a scan-to-ship feature so that operators can quickly process ship requests.
- Optionally, you may also elect to let employees create the shipping label right from their desktop rather than a ship request.
- In addition to the new shipping tab, a shipping report page has been added with data filters such as user, sender, cost center, carrier and more.
- We’ve approved and integrated Mettler-Toledo scales to interface directly to the SqBx shipping screens.
- An optional address validation feature can be purchased to help avoid costly carrier address correction fees.

- Reporting
- SqBx offers a plethora of standard and ad hoc reports for users to track their package volumes, personnel activity, carrier activity, route adherence and more.
- We’ve added a new optional custom report writer in the latest release. We have connected our API to Crystal Reports to enable customers an even more advanced, professional templates for reporting. If your organization uses Crystal reports and you would like to learn more about adding a customer report writer to your account, contact Team SqBx to obtain pricing.
- Globalization
- A SqBx skin is now available in French
- Metric units are now available
- SqBx now supports international date and time formats for its international customers
- Expect a Spanish skin in the 1st quarter of this year
- Customer Portal Enhancements for Multi Site Enterprise Installations
- SqBx offers a customer portal that can be used by members of your organization to see their packages, create interoffice shipments, ship requests and more. With this latest release we have made it even easier for organizations with multiple locations to share address and recipient information. This allows employees across your organization to be linked together to share address information if elected by your organization.
- The pickup portal ship request page has been updated to allow outbound shipments to other locations affiliated with your organization to receive advanced notification of the package and to provide complete tracking from ship request to delivery at the other location.
- General enhancements
- SqBx offers multi-receive functionality, which is extremely useful when you have multiple packages for the same recipient. You can now have field formulas that an administrator can add on the customize field settings page be applied to the multi receive function as you would on a single receipt.
- In addition to all your tracking data fields on the receive screen, you can now lock the carrier and service selection fields when you are receiving in multiple packages from the same carrier.
